Founder, La Maison du Management (France)

Philippe Détrie is the former founding president of Inergie, a management consulting firm. In 2014, he founded La Maison du Management whose mission is to promote responsible management as a driving force for all participants in economic life. Seven founders and a scientific committee of management experts support this innovation.

This unique professionalization in France is an innovation, because it is truly continuous training that is customized according to managers’ expectations, needs and constraints, and rich in content and format with over 150 experts per year to help avoid one-track thinking and promote risk appetite.

A graduate of the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris and the Young Managers Program – INSEAD, Mr. Détrie was a commercial attaché at the French Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria from 1976 to 1977. He then worked as chief engineer at Euréquip, an organizational consulting firm, during a mission in Scotland, Algeria and France until 1983. From 1983 to 1986, Mr. Détrie was head of communications and then head of HR development at Essilor. Finally, from 1986 to 2013, Philippe Détrie was the founder and CEO of Inergie, a firm specializing in management, communications and internal opinion. During his career, Mr. Détrie has developed training in management and communications, notably in the following areas: management team building and coaching and executive coaching; HR policies, quality, social revitalization, internal communication, sales and customer service; conference and event design and leadership; professional association development and leadership.
